Wetaca Achieves €16 Million of Income During 2023

Wetaca, the Spanish weekly-meal subscription service, has dished out its annual report card and the results are nothing short of a culinary triumph.

In what can only be described as a gastronomic rollercoaster, Wetaca not only doubled its weekly orders from 7,000 to 10,000 in just a few spins of the calendar but also solidified its reign as the go-to provider of weekly meal containers.

According to Efrén Álvarez, the co-founder and co-CEO of Wetaca, their “tuppers subscription model” has become a hit. The kitchen crew now crafts over 65,000 meals weekly, a feat made possible by their obsession with innovation, a keen eye for top-notch suppliers, and a bit of kitchen gadgetry.

The financial pot is also simmering nicely for Wetaca, with a 70% revenue growth over two years, hitting the €16 million mark in 2023. Despite market challenges, Wetaca remains a profitable contender, establishing itself as Spain's premier choice for precooked meals.

With a team that's grown to 92 people, Wetaca has its eyes set on expanding to 110 by year-end. As they prepare for a future that looks promising, Andrés Casal, the co-founder and co-CEO, notes: "At Wetaca, we will continue to be committed to our mission, which is to improve people's nutrition, helping them eat delicious, healthy, and varied meals in the most convenient way possible”.

Dealmate is like if Tinder, Uber, and Techcrunch had a baby

We embrace the startup culture and provide founders with a digital place to learn, stay up to date, and discover providers, colliding both worlds for the first time in a match-making tool :)

Like Tinder because…

We use proprietary software to match startups with a curated selection of studios, agencies, and professionals by summiting a simple form with their needs, budget, and timeframe.

Inspired by Uber infrastructure…

Providing an end-to-end experience by managing the entire process on a single platform, we reduce the stress, hunt, and communication issues often experienced during the briefing, payment, and even feedback stage.

With the Techcrunch approach…

We aim to empower the ecosystem by amplifying stories from founders and providers to become a powerhouse of content leveraging the massive reach of online media into attention for our partners.

Who is behind dealmate?

Dealmate was born out of the frustration of Iñigo as a startup founder, Adrian burned out as a creative studio owner, and the experience of Sharon being a programmer and designer. Our journey as founders inspired us to create the platform we all dreamed about, facilitating the deal flow experience between startups and providers.
