The Importance of Branding for Startups

Starting a business? One of the firsts things you need to do is define your business identity. In this quick read, we'll delve into the world of branding, why it's a game-changer for startups, and how it can set you apart in a sea of competitors.

What is Branding?

Branding is not just about funny names, logos and colors; it's the identity of your business.

Branding is the soul of your startup – the art of crafting an unique identity that goes beyond mere visuals. It's the personality that makes your business memorable. Imagine it as the first impression you want to etch into the minds of your clients.

Why Branding is so Important for Startups:

Stand out in the crowd

We are in the information age, your clients are constantly consuming content, advertising, and therefore, receiving tons of information. That's why now the fight to be in the top of mind of the public is more aggressive than ever and standing out is crucial. Investing in a robust brand ensures you grab attention.

Build Trust:

Trust is the currency of business, especially for startups. Clear, professional-looking branding tells your audience that you're not just here to “sell your book” and get a quick profit. It's an investment in your credibility, showing you've put in the work to shape your brand.

Boost Advertising Effectiveness:

Advertising without a strong brand is like trying to make a puzzle without all the pieces. Cohesive branding enhances your advertising, making it a very powerful tool.

I am sure you could recognize Apple, Coca-Cola or Mc Donald’s in any advertising even if we cover the logos (like we did in our last Instagram post), right?

And that’s because you can associate everything you see in the ADV with the brand: everything they show you conveys the same feeling and is related to their brand values.

Employees' sense of belonging

Your team is the core of your startup, and a strong brand can be the glue that binds them. From branded apparel, a well-designed office space, to strong values and a clear vision – these are the little things that make employees feel part of something bigger than just a job.

Create recurrence through customer loyalty

Beyond one-time transactions, good branding forges emotional connections. Appeal to your audience's emotions through branding, turning them into loyal customers. Build a brand that resonates, and watch customers come back for more.

Dealmate is like if Tinder, Uber, and Techcrunch had a baby

We embrace the startup culture and provide founders with a digital place to learn, stay up to date, and discover providers, colliding both worlds for the first time in a match-making tool :)

Like Tinder because…

We use proprietary software to match startups with a curated selection of studios, agencies, and professionals by summiting a simple form with their needs, budget, and timeframe.

Inspired by Uber infrastructure…

Providing an end-to-end experience by managing the entire process on a single platform, we reduce the stress, hunt, and communication issues often experienced during the briefing, payment, and even feedback stage.

With the Techcrunch approach…

We aim to empower the ecosystem by amplifying stories from founders and providers to become a powerhouse of content leveraging the massive reach of online media into attention for our partners.

Who is behind dealmate?

Dealmate was born out of the frustration of Iñigo as a startup founder, Adrian burned out as a creative studio owner, and the experience of Sharon being a programmer and designer. Our journey as founders inspired us to create the platform we all dreamed about, facilitating the deal flow experience between startups and providers.
